LINA MAXINE
Ask Lina Maxine to show you her lock screen, and you will see a brain scan outlining the auditory cortex: a part of the brain that processes music. Electrical impulses spark through our brains, weaving through a tangle of nerves, tinkering with our internal chemistry. It’s what brings us closer to the melody and the lyrics. “Music, after all, is the messenger of emotion” says Lina Maxine, who created her debut EP MIND GAMES while also finishing her Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford.
