Midlands based four-piece, Superego, are preparing to unveil their high-octane brand of indie-rock to a wider audience through the release of single Sleep via Big Indie Records, available to stream and download now. Blending jagged, angular guitar segments with lush, hazy vocals, Superego have taken inspiration from the angst-ridden era of 90’s grunge and sumptuously merged it with the multi-layered textures associated with shoegaze. Sleep sees Superego create a distorted, energy filled sound as blistering, feedback laden guitars envelope the listener and are accented beautifully by the wistful, dream-like vocals of Cam Potts. Consisting of the aforementioned Cam Potts, Tom Richards, Luke Joseph Harley and Samuel Beckingham, Superego have been lauded for their live performances having honed their skills while touring with Black Honeyas well as supporting acts such as The Big Moon, Pale Waves and Dead!. Now, on the back of recording new material with Billy Ryder-Jones (The Coral), and a confirmed slot at DIY’s Big Indie Big Nights at Tileyard Studios on 13th June, Superego are set to become your new favourite band.
